We’ve been busy little bees this week, keeping up with all the winners who have come in to claim big prizes. I said it in a post last month and I’ll say it again now: Meeting our winners and hearing their stories is one of the most enjoyable things about working at the lottery. And we’ve been able to meet a whole pack of winners this week!       

First came Lois Walker of Le Mars, who claimed a $10,000 prize Monday in Hot Lotto. Next up was Natasha Banta of West Des Moines, who won $50,000 in our “Deal Or No Deal™” scratch game. Then in came Peggy Clark of Wayland with her $25,000-winning ticket in our “7’s Bingo” scratch game. The next winner was Sharon Duffey of Adel, who won a $200,000 Powerball prize. And today, we’ve heard from Judy Lien of Algona, who has won the top prize in Iowa’s $100,000 Cash Game [AUDIO: Lien’s comments 1 min mp3].
