Themes That Sell: Iowa and Animals

I’m not going to spill all the secrets when it comes to developing successful lottery games, but I can tell you the two themes are sure to sell tickets here our great state: Iowa and animals.

The first item makes perfect sense. Iowa Lottery players obviously are buying their tickets in Iowa, so they have at least some connection to the place, right? And, working Iowa themes into our games often allows us to highlight projects and attractions in our state. It’s a great way the lottery can help call attention to Iowa success stories.

Maybe the fact that animal-themed games are popular here goes back to our state’s agricultural heritage. Or maybe it’s just that we like pets. Either way, there’s no doubt that we love our dogs and cats and birds and fish and cows and pigs and horses and … and … and!

So, at the lottery, we’ll keep coming up with all sorts of new game ideas, and you can expect that Iowa themes and animal themes will be part of the mix. And we bet you’ll like them!

Mary: The Iowa State Bird is the "Goldfinch", I feed them all winter, and it would be a wonderful thing to see a ticket come out with just the "Goldfinch", possibly you could include our State Flower, "The Wild Rose" on the same ticket! Thank You So Much!!!
