Do You Have A $20 Bonus Coming?

As you may have heard, there was an issue with our “Big Beepin’ Deal” promotion over the weekend that kept it from working for a couple days. A lot of people bought Powerball® tickets during the outage and should have been eligible for $20 bonuses from the lottery, but didn’t receive them. 

We’ve identified the tickets that were involved, but we don’t know who bought them all, so we decided the only way to ensure that a bonus is available to everyone who should have received one is to open the process up to anyone who bought an eligible ticket during the timeframe involved.

The promotion was not functioning from 12:01 a.m. Sunday (May 24) until 11:28 a.m. Tuesday (May 26). If you bought a Powerball ticket during that time that had five Powerball plays with the Power Play – a $10 purchase – you are eligible for a $20 bonus from the Iowa Lottery!

Just complete an Iowa Lottery claim form and mail the completed form along with your ticket to: Iowa Lottery, P.O. Box 10474, Des Moines, Iowa 50306. You have until May 27, 2010, to claim the bonus from the lottery.
