Join In Our “Walk-Up Tweetup”!

Consider this your invitation to be part of our first “Walk-Up Tweetup” for our followers on Twitter and fans on Facebook! It will all be happening at the lottery’s booth at the Iowa State Fair.  

Things are set to run from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. this coming Tuesday (Aug. 18). We decided that instead of having a traditional tweetup where people spend a few hours, we’d make things a little more fast-paced. So, we’re having a “walk-up” tweetup.

It’ll be in our booth at the Iowa State Fair, and all you have to do to get a prize is come see us in the Varied Industries Building and give us the secret code-phrase! (Our booth is in its usual spot in the southeast corner of the Varied Industries Building.)

Just follow us on Twitter or join our fan page on Facebook to find out the secret code-phrase. It all kicks off at 10 a.m. Tuesday, and the walk-up tweetup will run all day or until we run out of things to give away!

We’ll be giving one Lottery Buck coupon to the first 100 people who “walk up” with the secret code-phrase. We’ll also enter all those folks’ names into a second-chance contest to win one of three other great prizes!

After the second-chance selection is complete, we’ll post the winners on Twitter and Facebook. We’ll also direct message all the winners to make sure they know they won! If you win, you'll need to contact us by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, with your name and mailing address so we can send out your prize.

A few requirements:
• You must be at least 21 years old to enter, and you must be a resident of the state of Iowa.
• You must be a fan of the Iowa Lottery Facebook page or a follower of the Iowa Lottery on Twitter.
• Only one lottery coupon per person will be given to the first 100 participants in the walk-up tweetup.
• No purchase necessary to participate!
