Happy Turkey Day!

It’s almost Thanksgiving and you know what that means: It’s turkey time! So, turkeys will be a central part of our contest this month on Twitter and Facebook!

Our contest is set for next Tuesday (Nov. 17). The question you’ll have to answer is turkey-related, but the tickets you can win have a holiday theme to help you gear up for gift-giving season! We’ll be giving away tickets in our $5 “Holly Jolly Jackpot” game. Three lucky winners each will receive 4 tickets ($20 value).

To be eligible to enter, just follow us on Twitter or become a fan on our Facebook page. Then give your most creative answer to our contest question and you’ll be entered for a chance to win one of the sets of tickets. And here’s the question so you’ll have lots of time to think of a great answer before next week: What’s another name for a turkey? (Example: Dinner!) 

At 10 a.m. next Tuesday, we’ll pose our question on Twitter and Facebook. Reply with your answer within the 15-minute time limit and you’ll be entered in the contest! Reply to @ialottery on Twitter or click on ‘comment’ to write your answer on our Facebook page. (Don’t direct message us on Twitter, as direct messages aren’t eligible for entry.)

We’ll number all of the entries received and then select nine numbers to determine whose names will be entered into the contest. Nine “stress ball” turkeys like those in the pic above will be tossed at a target and the three turkeys that land closest to the target will determine the contest winners!  

We’ll videotape the contest results, then post the video on our Web site, YouTube and Facebook. We’ll post a list of the winners’ names on our blog, and a link to that blog on both Twitter and Facebook.

If you win, you’ll need to contact us with your name, date of birth and mailing address so we can send out your tickets. Winners will have until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, to contact us with their information in order to claim their prize. We’ll also select alternate names in case any of the winners don’t contact us within the specified amount of time.

A few other details:
• You must be 21 years old to enter.
• You must live in Iowa.
• There’s no purchase necessary to enter or to win!

And remember, if you don’t win a prize on your Holly Jolly Jackpot ticket, you can use it to enter our “Tech The Halls” promotion for a chance to win some of this year’s hottest electronics or good ol’ cash!
