Hi, Mike. Thanks for your comment to the blog. The concept of "sampling" as we utilize in some of our contests and promotions is something that is used by just about any company selling a product. Sampling serves as a reminder about a product to existing customers and helps introduce it to potential customers. Think about the visit you make to your local supermarket on the weekend and all the booths set up in the aisles there that offer you a bite of pizza for free or maybe some chips and dip or a bite of ice cream. It's all designed as customer education -- and it helps sell products. We believe that sampling, when used sparingly as we do, helps enhance the culture of fun associated with playing the lottery, and ultimately helps sell tickets.

I still think its WRONG to give away lottery tickets without a purchase of some kind.
