With the Powerball jackpot really getting up there (it’s climbed to an estimated $220 million for Saturday’s drawing), we’re getting questions from folks who want a refresher on where they can catch the drawings.
Powerball drawings are broadcast by nearly 100 television stations nationwide. Click here for a complete list of the stations in all the Powerball states.
Iowans can see the drawings on these stations:
| Market | Station | Network | Channel |
| Davenport | KWQC-TV | NBC | 6 |
| Des Moines | WOI-TV | ABC | 5 |
| Kirksville, Mo. | KTVO-TV | ABC | 3 |
| Sioux City | KTIV-TV | NBC | 4 |
| Waterloo | KWWL-TV | NBC | 7 |
Powerball drawings also are available live online and are archived on the Internet if you want to check them out later.
And don’t forget, Iowa retailers can print out a list of the winning numbers for you and drawing results also are available 24/7 on our Web site.
Good luck with your Powerball tickets!

Interesting comment. Actually, there can't be a lotto game without a real drawing, so we're covered there! The lottery has contracts with stations to broadcast the drawings in Powerball and Mega Millions, the lotto games with the biggest jackpots and biggest player bases. We make the results of the drawings in our other games available in a variety of ways, as we listed earlier. Have a great weekend!

Are the Hot Lotto drawing & the $100,000 Game not televised because they are computer generated numbers and not a real drawing?

Great topic. Thanks for bringing it up. The drawings in the Mega Millions game, which occur at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, also are televised here in Iowa. The same stations are involved. Drawings in Hot Lotto and Iowa's $100,000 Cash Game are not televised, but those games' results are available in many different ways, including via the Iowa Lottery's Web site at www.ialottery.com, print-outs of the winning numbers at your local lottery retail spot, and on our winning numbers line at 515-323-4633.
