Like, Totally Awesome Rock-up!

Last night lottery staff rocked it out with our players, the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines, Star 102.5 and the Des Moines Derby Dames at our first-ever Rock-up!

The Rock-up was our totally ‘80s version of a Tweet-up/Meet-up, which we’ve held in the past. We held it to continue the celebration of our partnership with the Civic Center and the Rock of Ages hit Broadway musical, which is coming to Des Moines in April.

Players were invited to dig to the bottom of their closets to find their old ‘80s gear for a costume contest, and they didn’t disappoint! You can see all the photos of the players in their duds on the lottery’s Facebook page.

There was music, food, roller skating and prize giveaways all night! We also took the chance to show the Rock of Ages sizzle reel and the lottery’s new Rock of Ages commercial, which debuted on television and radio March 7.
