Iowa's lucky streak in Powerball® is still going strong! Someone who bought a ticket at an eastern Iowa convenience store won a $1 million prize in Saturday night’s drawing. The latest big-winning ticket, sold at Kum & Go, 2050 Iowa Highway 38 in Tipton, came close to winning a share of Saturday's $130.3 million jackpot, matching the first five numbers but missing the Powerball. A ticket sold in New York matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing to win the jackpot.
Saturday's winning numbers were: 10-29-37-44-59 and Powerball 10. The Tipton ticket was one of five across the country that each won a $1 million prize that night.
Prizes of $1 million must be claimed at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Des Moines. If you're the big winner and you have questions before coming in to claim the prize, feel free to give us a call at 515-725-7900.
Iowa has now had two $1 million Powerball winners in as many months: A Sheldon couple claimed a $1 million Powerball prize with their ticket from the Oct. 5 drawing.
Kum & Go will receive a $1,000 bonus from the lottery for the $1 million-winning ticket being sold at its Tipton store.
