You’ve probably heard the news that two tickets matched all six numbers in last night’s Mega Millions® drawing. A ticket sold in Florida and another in Maryland will share the $414 million jackpot prize.
Iowa also scored a couple of nice wins, too. A ticket purchased at Casey’s, 501 W. Clarinda Ave. in Shenandoah, and another ticket purchased at Casey’s, 5110 S. Highway 13 in Coggon, each matched four of the first five numbers drawn and the Mega Ball to win a $5,000 prize. And since each of those tickets had the Megaplier® added (which was 3 in last night’s drawing) their prize was multiplied by three to make them each a $15,000 prize!
Overall, a total of 50,107 plays purchased by Iowa Lottery players won prizes ranging from $1 up to $15,000. The winning numbers in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing were: 11-19-24-33-51 and Mega Ball 7. So if you haven’t already, make sure you sign and check your tickets. Just because you didn’t win the jackpot doesn’t mean you couldn’t have still won a pretty sweet prize.
The jackpot now resets to $15 million for Friday’s drawing.
