As lots of folks are buying tickets for the first time in our new MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB lottery game, they’re also sending us lots of questions about the game and just how to play it. I recently had a great exchange here on the blog with a reader who wondered about the properties you get for entering a webcode, and how long those properties will stay live on your personal playing board. Other folks have been trying to enter the wrong numbers from their tickets, and have understandably been frustrated when they’ve gotten error messages.
Here’s a quick review: The weekly lotto drawing in MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB happens at 10:15 p.m. each Friday. And only when someone wins the Top Prize in one of those drawings will there be a shower of millionaires in a separate drawing to determine the winners of $1 million prizes across the country (that’s called the Millionaires’ Club drawing). No one has won the Top Prize in the game yet, so there hasn’t been a Millionaires’ Club drawing. That’s why there aren’t any Millionaires’ Club winning numbers on our website yet.
I blogged last month about how long you have to enter the webcode from your ticket for a chance to be a contestant on the TV game show that will debut in February. The webcode that you enter is highlighted inside a box at the bottom of your ticket. Click here to see an example ticket if you’re having trouble entering a webcode.
Once you’ve entered the webcode on your ticket, you’ll get properties on your personal MONOPOLY playing board. Those properties will stay on your playing board until you've gotten a complete Property Set. Once you get a complete set, you'll receive entries into the next drawing for a chance to go to the TV game show taping in Las Vegas! The properties in that complete Property Set are then removed from your personal playing board, but all of the other properties that you have on it will stay live, waiting for you to complete more Property Sets on your board. (So, for example, if you get Baltic Avenue on three different MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB tickets, be sure to enter that property all three times because each one could help you complete a Property Set.)
There’s no expiration date for the properties once you've gotten them on your personal playing board. They’ll stay good until you complete the Property Set involved. But once you've completed a Property Set and received game-show entries from it, those entries are only good for the next drawing to determine those players who will go to the game-show tapings. We'll be holding game-show drawings about every six weeks.
We have the game-show drawing schedule on our website, but here are the details about the first drawing: The entry period for the drawing runs from Oct. 19-Nov. 25. Players who have completed Property Sets on their personal playing boards during that time frame will receive entries into that first game-show drawing. The drawing will be held Dec. 2, and the players selected in that drawing will travel Jan. 8-12 to Las Vegas to attend the game-show tapings. (If you get a complete Property Set after Nov. 25, your entries will go into the NEXT game-show drawing, which will be held Jan. 13.)
We're excited about this new game concept and are glad you're giving it a try! The idea has been to build in more chances to win AND to spread the winnings around. We think the game will do just that!
Only if someone wins the Top Prize, which is at $21 million for tonight's drawing, will the Millionaire's Club drawing be triggered (The one that begins with IA 0000-0000-0000 on your ticket). If no one hits the Top Prize, then no second drawing will occur. Your ticket is only good for the one drawing it was purchased for. That includes the first two set of numbers on your ticket. The first set which is for Friday night's drawing, and the second number, also only for that night's drawing - will only be needed if the Top Prize is hit. Those numbers are no longer good after the drawing in which your ticket was purchased for, occurs. And since no one has hit the Top Prize yet, that's why there aren't any Millionaires' Club winning numbers on our website yet. However, your third number on your ticket, the webcode, you have 365 days from the date you purchased your ticket, to enter it online for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas! If you haven't already done so, you may want to check out our How to Play MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB video: http://bit.ly/IALOT_HowToPlayMMCVideo Thanks for playing and good luck!

My MMC question is this: For clarification, the MILLIONAIRE'S CLUB number on your ticket- the one that begins with IA 0000-0000-0000:
It is only good for the drawing listed on the ticket. If there is not a jackpot for the drawing listed on this ticket, the Millionaire's Club number is no good- it is not used for the "Shower of Millionaires" drawing that will happen whenever the jackpot is won.
Only "current" tickets (i.e. tickets for the drawing when the jackpot is won) go into the "Shower of Millionaires" drawing, correct?
Thanks,
Mark

What determines the numbers drawn for the millionaires club and what determines how many winners there per drawing
