Hi, Hellene. Thank you for reaching out to us about this. You are correct that some stores do not accept debit cards for the purchase of lottery tickets. That is a business decision by the location involved, and we do recognize that there are real-world considerations in situations like that for any business. Some locations, for example, won't accept checks from any customer for the purchase of any item, out of concern over insufficient funds. As a consumer, you always have the choice to do business at the locations you enjoy the most. Thanks again for reaching out and good luck in tonight's drawing!

I have a question are QT stores in Iowa lottery retailers because I went to buy some power ball tickets and was told I COULD USE MY DEBIT TO BUY ITEMS, BUT MUST PAY IN CASH FOR MY LOTTERY PURCHASES and the clerk was rude I replied I never heard of such a thing needless to say I did not purchase anything they have lost a customer. The store is located at east 30 th and university
