Hello, William. Just checking back with you about your blog comment. I have to wonder if your comment comes from contact you may have had with someone running a scam. Please remember that when you win a lottery prize, you never have to pay a "processing fee" before your prize will be paid. That's a method used by scammers, not legitimate lotteries. If you pay their up-front fee, that money will be lost to you and you'll never receive the so-called winnings, either. Please protect yourself against scams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp-wGmdhMBM

Take heed! When lottery officials write checks
to winners. Make sure you have funds available so winners will be able to cash the checks.

As the lottery’s vice president of external relations, I’m a member of the senior management team at the Iowa Lottery, where I’ve worked since 1999. I’ve spent my years at the lottery learning as much as I can about all the ins and outs of the lottery industry. I’ll put that knowledge to work here so I can share the behind-the-scenes details with you!
