Here’s something I don’t normally blog about, but with youth unemployment in the United States remaining at double the overall unemployment rate, it’s important to spread the word about job opportunities for young people.
So that’s what I’m doing here today! The Iowa Lottery will have two paid internship opportunities for college students this summer. The jobs will run from mid-May through mid-August and give the selected students the chance to develop real-world experience job skills in their chosen area – marketing, public relations, business communications or journalism.
Complete information about the internships, how to apply, the hourly wage and other details are available here.
A couple things to note: Students applying must be at least 21 years old and be an incoming Senior currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited educational institution. The application deadline is April 20, so if you know someone who would be a good candidate for the position, please pass this information along.
Let’s give a couple millennials a leg up this summer!
