Concert ticket packages and a $10,000 grand prize are up for grabs in a new Iowa Lottery promotion that has started today.
The promotion is called JACKPOT PARTY® because those are the games that are eligible for it. Starting today, players can enter the promotion using nonwinning tickets in the $10 JACKPOT PARTY Progressive InstaPlay game or the $5 JACKPOT PARTY scratch game. The promotion’s entry period runs through Aug. 22 and it will have four prize drawings.
First up will be a June 21 drawing for 15 concert packages to the Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson concerts in August in Cedar Rapids. Each prize package will include a pair of three-day passes to the newbo evolve™ Festival Aug. 3-5 along with reserved seating at the Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson concerts, a 2-night hotel stay at Hampton Inn & Suites in Cedar Rapids and $300 spending cash.
On July 12, we’ll hold a drawing for 20 concert packages to the Counting Crows concert in September in Council Bluffs. Each of those prize packages will include a pair of tickets to the Counting Crows show Sept. 13 at Stir Cove, a one-night stay at Harrah’s® Council Bluffs, pre-concert appetizers and nonalcoholic beverages along with $300 spending cash.
On Aug. 2, we’ll draw for 20 concert packages to the Fleetwood Mac concert in October in Des Moines. Each package will include a pair of tickets to a party suite in Wells Fargo Arena for the Fleetwood Mac show on Oct. 14, food and nonalcoholic beverages in the suite, a one-night hotel stay at Hilton Des Moines Downtown and $300 spending cash.
And on Aug. 23, we’ll hold the promotion’s grand prize drawing for a $10,000 cash prize that the winner can use to plan his/her own party!

The JACKPOT PARTY Progressive InstaPlay game debuted May 14 and someone has already claimed the first of the 47 top prizes available in it! Helen Trader of Muscatine claimed that prize of $30,742 on Thursday at our Cedar Rapids office. She bought her winning ticket at a Smokin’ Joe’s in Muscatine.
The $5 JACKPOT PARTY scratch game hits stores today in Iowa. It has instant prizes ranging from $5 up to $50,000.
