Hi again, William. I have had a chance to check with our I.T. folks about your question. The barcode data in the app is longer than the number on the face of the ticket. It's a security feature built into the process. You will be able to see the ticket that you scanned in your ticket history once it has been entered, so you will be able to review the details there.

Hi, William. Really great question, thank you for sending it in. I need to research this with our I.T. folks, so I will respond further when I have more info.

You do not, Bruce. However, lottery winners' information is public in Iowa, so we at the lottery are required to release who won the prize.

When entering a non-winning card for the Fa la la loot promotion, why does the scanned 10 digit number on the card (when you scan it with the app) appear different than the 10-digit number on the front of the card? Is this suppose to be a different number?

If you win a top prize do you have to have your picture posted
