Hi, Sherry. The player was specifically keyed in on the Megaplier feature in Mega Millions. If you match the first five numbers in a Mega Millions drawing and have added the Megaplier option to your play, you could win up to $5 million. in contrast, if you match the first five numbers in a Powerball drawing and have added the Power Play option to your ticket, you could win up to $2 million.

I don't understand why the participant would prefer MM over PB for any of the examples provided. In all cases the PB potential return was greater. Please explain the logic of the player's comments.

You are absolutely correct, Chris! Sales follow the jackpot up in games like Powerball and Mega Millions. And the higher the jackpot goes, the higher sales go, which in turn then pushes the jackpot up even faster.

I play them both , and I don't wait til the jackpots are really high. I do notice that the jackpots very. such as both games going right now , where the pots are almost equal.although one will pull away from the other. and I figure that is because more tickets are being sold for that game.
