We’ve gotten questions from folks asking coronavirus questions that weren’t directly related to the lottery, and while we may not have had the information they were seeking, we were able to direct them to the same site I’m sharing with you here.
It’s the COVID-19 in Iowa site, and it provides details and links all in one spot to the information we’re all looking for right now, including the current status of cases in our state, symptoms to look for if you think you have the disease, and ways to help prevent its spread.
At the bottom of the page are links to sites for information related to employment, transportation, travel, education, and business, among others.
We wish everyone a safe and happy weekend. Be well out there!
Hi, James. There are separate chapters of Iowa Code involved, so the language that applies to one form of gaming in the state does not apply to the Iowa Lottery. As I've said to other commenters here, please contact your local lawmakers so they are aware of your opinion on the matter.

Hi, Bob. I had shared this detail with another commenter earlier, but I'll post it here for you as well. The question about online play here in Iowa is a legal one rather than a purely business decision. It would take a change in state law for all lottery products to be sold online. Please make your voice heard to your state lawmakers so they know your thoughts on the issue. But by sharing your opinion here, it helps us gauge the public's interest in playing online.

I would like to limit my visits to retail locations due to my age and health problems and the need to keep social distance. Is there an option to purchase my lottery tickets on-line? If not, why?
