This week, we were able to start interacting with our winners in person again through curbside prize claims at our offices in Storm Lake, Mason City and Cedar Rapids. And on Monday, curbside claims will begin at lottery headquarters in Clive.
It’s another step forward as we all do our best to continue navigating safely during the COVID-19 emergency. And I have to tell you, it’s been so incredibly NICE to see our winners’ smiling faces again! We’ve interacted with winners of large and small prizes this week in a curbside claims process that is working well.
Four of our winners from this week are shown here, and to each of them I say: CONGRATULATIONS! Thank you for helping to lift our spirits this week!
Back in March as the COVID-19 emergency was deepening, we made the decision that for the health of everyone, public access to our offices would need to be restricted. For more than two months, winning tickets needed to be mailed or shipped to the Iowa Lottery or put in the secure dropbox available at lottery headquarters. (If you’ve won an Iowa Lottery prize and would prefer to use one of those prize-claim methods, you’re welcome to do so!)
But curbside claims by appointment are now available as well, and the process went really smoothly this week. We hope to see YOU as a prize winner soon!
