Hi, Robert. We posted information in several places earlier this week, and I'm happy to provide the details here as well. On Sunday, the Iowa Lottery went through a once-a-decade update to its central gaming system, which provides a real-time link to all lottery retail locations in the state. As with any technology update, further tweaks and adjustments then needed to be made once things went live. That is the case at the moment with the Iowa Lottery’s mobile app, where the ticket-checking function is not working. Players who try to check the results of a ticket using the mobile app receive the message you referenced. We are aware of the outage and are working to have that feature on the app live again as soon as possible. In the meantime, you are welcome to check your tickets at any Iowa Lottery retail location. Or, if you have a lotto ticket in a game like Powerball or Mega Millions, you can check the winning numbers on the lottery’s website at www.ialottery.com. Thank you for reaching out!

Hi, I have been trying to check scratch tickets using the mobile app for the last two days only to be met with the following message ......

"The check-ticket system is currently unavailable. Please try again later."

Please advise.
Thank you,
Bob

Hi, Jim. I'm not sure if you checked your ticket during the system outage earlier today or not. But in any case, please hang onto your ticket and call the Iowa Lottery after 8 a.m. tomorrow (Monday) at 515-725-7900 and ask to speak with Lottery Security. One of our investigators can review the details of your ticket, do research if needed, and help answer your questions.

Hi, Denise, Teresa, Linda, and Lisa. I updated this blog post to reflect that the Iowa Lottery's new statewide gaming system went live a little before 3 p.m. today. You can now buy and check tickets in all Iowa Lottery games, and all functions are working again on the lottery's mobile app. This is a huge undertaking every time we do it, and we knew our system would be down for a time during the upgrade. That is why we had pushed out the details on Friday to give folks a head's up about the anticipated outage.

I scanned two lotto America tickets with star ball of 3 and mobile app said not a winner which is incorrect according to the published numbers for 9/25 something isn’t correct.
