Hi, Susan. You're so right that we should all be aware of our personal safety and protect ourselves. But I will caution against overstating fears. There has never been an instance of anyone winning an Iowa Lottery prize and having an untoward experience related to that.

I feel that for the winner’s safety, their full name and city of residence should be confidential. I understand people want proof of who won, but what is preventing people from looking them up and confronting them?
