This photo of a northwest Iowa man who claimed a prize this week made me smile when I saw the shirt he was wearing!
To commemorate the moment, we’ve had T-shirts with the message “You’re lookin’ at a WINNER!” made for those who claim larger lottery prizes in Iowa!
As you can see, John Friedrichsen of Cherokee put his T-shirt on for his photo with a ceremonial check as he claimed the $50,000 prize he won in the “X The Money” scratch game.
That $5 game just debuted on April 5 here in Iowa, and John won its first top prize! There currently are six more prizes of $50,000 that remain unclaimed in the game.
