Someone who bought a lottery ticket at a convenience store in Black Hawk County has won a prize of $25,000 a year for life in the Lucky for Life® game. Last night’s big win comes about a month after a Davenport man claimed that same prize he’d won in a drawing in June.
The Black Hawk County ticket matched the first five numbers but missed the Lucky Ball in last night’s Lucky for Life drawing to win the game’s second prize of $25,000 a year for life. The winning ticket was purchased at Git N Go Convenience Store, 124 Wood St. in Hudson.
It’s Iowa’s 15th big win in the game since it debuted here in January 2016. It’s also the second big win in the game this summer.
In late June, Doug Schlickman of Davenport claimed a prize of $25,000 a year for life that he won in the Lucky for Life drawing on June 27.
The winning numbers in last night’s Lucky for Life drawing were: 11-27-37-38-48 and Lucky Ball 16. Git N Go will receive a $500 bonus from the lottery for selling the winning ticket.
The prize won in Hudson has to be claimed at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive. The lottery currently offers prize claims by appointment at its offices. Full details are available on the How To Claim A Prize page of our website.
If the winner or winners of the Hudson ticket have questions before coming forward to claim the prize, they’re welcome to call us at the Iowa Lottery at 515-725-7900 or email us at [email protected].
Players in Lucky for Life have up to 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes won in Iowa.
Hi, Sam. The article is correct, and so is our website. The winning ticket in Hudson won a prize in Sunday's drawing (July 24) of Lucky for Life. That game has drawings every day, so the Iowa Lottery's home page currently shows the winning numbers in the Lucky for Life drawing on Monday, July 25. If you go to the page for the Lucky for Life game and click on the Winning Numbers link there, you'll see the list of drawings in the game for the past month. The winning numbers for the July 24 drawing are shown there.
